The short answer
Bosch video analytics is on-camera software that ships built in on Bosch IP cameras at no extra license fee. Cameras in the IP 4000 to IP 6000 range carry Essential Video Analytics, and IP 7000 to IP 9000 cameras carry Intelligent Video Analytics, which is a superset tuned for harsh outdoor conditions and long-range perimeter work. The current generation is branded IVA Pro and is sold in application packs.
One fact most comparison pages have not caught up with: Bosch sold this business. The security and communications product division transferred to the investment firm Triton on June 30, 2025, became KEENFINITY Group, and the video systems line is being renamed IQSIGHT. The product is the same. The company behind your support contract is not.

The sale closed June 30, 2025
KEENFINITY's own press room states the sale of the Bosch Group's security and communications technology product business to the European investment firm Triton completed on June 30, 2025, effective July 1. The brands named in that release are Bosch, Electro-Voice, Dynacord, RTS, and Telex.
Video systems became IQSIGHT
The video line is being renamed rather than retired. IQSIGHT's site describes itself in its own footer as formerly Bosch Video Systems, and the company exhibited under the IQSIGHT name at ISC West in March 2026. Bosch product names continue through a transition period.
The redirects confirm it
Checked on August 3, 2026: the old Bosch Security video analytics page returns a 301 to keenfinity-group.com, which returns a second 301 to iqsight.com. Two permanent redirects in a row is a company telling search engines the move is finished.
What this changes for a buyer, and what it does not
It does not change the analytics. The algorithms, the camera series, and the built-in licensing model are the same ones Bosch shipped. What it changes is who signs your support agreement, whose roadmap the product now follows, and which company name belongs on a multi-year purchase order. If you are specifying cameras for a project that runs past 2026, ask your integrator in writing which legal entity is the warranty counterparty. That is a reasonable question and a good integrator will answer it in a sentence.
Bosch Intelligent Video Analytics vs Bosch Essential Video Analytics
Intelligent Video Analytics contains everything Essential Video Analytics does, plus functions built for conditions that break ordinary motion detection. The split is by camera series, so in practice you choose the tier when you choose the camera.

IVA Pro is the current generation, and it is packaged differently
The classic Essential and Intelligent tiers are the ones most buyers know. Newer cameras ship IVA Pro, which is sold as application packs rather than one blanket tier.
IVA Pro Buildings
Aimed at indoor and campus security and operations: people and object detection in busy scenes where the older motion-based logic produced too much noise.
IVA Pro Perimeter
Long-range intrusion detection along the boundaries of buildings, energy facilities, and airports, including in extreme weather. This is the direct successor to what Intelligent Video Analytics was bought for.

Deep neural network models for real-time traffic data and historical pattern analysis, sold into roads, tunnels, and transport operators rather than general security.
Check this before you assume analytics is free
The no-license-fee promise buyers remember dates from Bosch's October 2016 announcement that edge analytics would be standard across its IP camera range. That still describes the classic Essential and Intelligent tiers. IVA Pro is packaged differently: resellers list packs such as IVA Pro Perimeter under their own orderable part numbers, which means a pack can be a separate line item rather than something already in the camera. Before you build a budget on the assumption that Bosch analytics costs nothing, get your quote to state, per part number, which analytics are included and which are ordered separately.
What on-camera analytics does well, and where it stops
Where Bosch wins outright
- Analytics run on the camera, so detection does not depend on a network link or a server staying up. For a remote perimeter that is a real reliability advantage.
- No per-camera analytics subscription on the classic tiers. Over a ten-year camera life that is a large number compared with any per-camera monthly model, including ours.
- Bandwidth stays low, because the camera sends metadata and events rather than shipping every frame somewhere to be analyzed.
- The long-range and bad-weather tuning in Intelligent Video Analytics and IVA Pro Perimeter is mature. It was built for airports, and it shows.
Where it leaves gaps
- It only runs on Bosch cameras. A mixed estate with Axis, Hanwha, or older Hikvision units gets nothing from it, and most real sites are mixed.
- Each camera reasons about its own view. Following one person across twelve cameras is a job for the layer above, not for the camera.
- Upgrading the analytics usually means upgrading firmware, and eventually replacing hardware. Cloud models improve without anyone visiting a pole.
- The rules are configured per camera. On a large site that is a lot of individual setup, and it drifts as scenes change.
These are complements more often than they are competitors. A common arrangement is Bosch cameras doing edge detection on the fence line, with a cloud layer on top for search, cross-camera work, and the cameras that are not Bosch.
